Jalapeno poppers wrapped in bacon
Spicy jalapeno poppers meet savory bacon in this irresistible recipe. A perfect blend of heat and smokiness, a true crowd-pleaser!
Ingredients
- 10 Jalapenos
- 250 grams cream cheese
- Half an onion finely diced
- Handful of chives
- 250 grams of streaky bacon for wrapping
Method
- Finely dice the onion and gently fry with a splash of oil.
- While the onion is frying, halve and de-seed the jalapenos.
- Take the onion off the heat once browned and allow to cool for a few minutes.
- Mix the onion, finely chopped chives & cream cheese in a bowl. Now it’s time to stuff those jalapenos!
- Smear the cream cheese mixture into both halves of each jalapeno then place both halves back together. Wrap the stuffed jalapeno with a strip of streaky bacon and carefully slide onto a long metal skewer. Continue this process until you have used all the jalapenos.
- Place the skewers onto a hot grill and let it sizzle away for around 5 minutes on each side. Garnish with some fresh lime and coriander and tuck in.
