Campfire Baked Potatoes

How can you go past a classic camping dish? Campfire baked potatoes - easy, delicious and you can enjoy the fire while they are cooking away.

 

Ingredients

  • White potatoes
  • Butter
  • Sour cream
  • Bacon
  • Spring onion
  • Salt & pepper

Method

  1. Cut an X into your potatoes, top with butter and salt and wrap in tin foil.
  2. Place the wrapped potatoes into the hot coals of your campfire for 1-2 hours
  3. Meanwhile, chop up the bacon and fry until crispy 
  4. Unwrap the potatoes and top with more butter, crispy bacon, sour cream and fresh spring onion

 

Tips

Make sure your potatoes are sliced ¼ of the way down, salted and partnered with a generous amount of butter.
